***1/2 stars
Who else ya gonna call?? - Ghostbusters Reviews
this is an excellent comedy that has made me laugh every single time i see it. it has a good idea (four guys who go around ridding buildings of ghosts for a living) and mixes it with good acting and some surprises and hilarious moments - the marshmallow man is superb. i think the only thing wrong with it is that its over quite soon, but that doesnt really matter because you'll still have a great laugh watching this movie.
Love this movie - Ghostbusters Reviews
i loved this movie! i really want to see the second movie (yes there is one) because this one was SO cool!

A great ghostly comedy!! - Ghostbusters Reviews
Ghostbuster's is truly a classic among comedies. Bill Murray delivers an excellent performance as a cocky comedic kinda guy. The whole acting in this movie wasen't all that great, but Murray top everybody else. The visuals in this movie are great for an older movie. Ghostbuster is truly one great movie.
It is not that great - Ghostbusters Reviews
yep....it is not really a great movie. it is a good way to time pass. it is flaw movie but it is okay to watch for just once
The best film of the century - Ghostbusters Reviews
Combining the comedy giants of the early 80's, an intuitive script and the solid effects and directing makes for a pop culture masterpiece. Taking the original idea of ghost hunting and then combining it weith contemporary setting and adding unique characters it created an atmosophere unto its own. Perhaps the greatest element of this film is its influence afterwards. "Who ya gonna call?" Honestly if you don't know where that's from then get a life. It has spawned three TV shows, two comic series, a sequel and continues to have a strong impact on movie-making today. The acting was brilliant and characters were so wonderfully portrayed theat I cannot help but think of the hilarious Dr. Peter Venkman everytime I see Bill Murray. If you haven't seen it go rent it!

Flawed, but worthy - Ghostbusters Reviews
At first, I thought Ghostbusters was great. The theme song rocked, the Ghostbusters logo was sweet. But that was before I saw the movie. I thought that the movie was really, really wierd. I mean, whats up with that Dana and Louis guy turning into dogs? I also saw Ghostbusters 2 and I thought that it was better (less weird) than the first. Two guys that were laugh-outloud hilarious were Bill Murray and Rick Moranis. The acting was good, the story-okay, but it was near the end was pretty weird. I mean, c'mon, whats with this PEOPLE turning into ghosts, thing?
W-E-I-R-D. If you can read, you know what I'm talking about. Hey, whose your daddy?
I think it could be a little better.. - Ghostbusters Reviews
Overall I thought this movie was good, but I got lost in a few parts of the movie. If this was average then I wonder how the 2nd one was.. So I think it was good and bad in many ways.
Great - Ghostbusters Reviews

Best movie - Ghostbusters Reviews
Bill Murray is my favorite actor and after seeing this movie I laughed my ass off, I knew from the beggining it was going to be awsome. His girlfriend being possesed that was really funny.
Loads of fun - Ghostbusters Reviews
this was one of my favorites as a kid and i still love it to this day THE STORY THE ACTING AND DIRECTION WERE GOOD THIS IS A MUST SEE
Are the critics crazy? - Ghostbusters Reviews
I expected a crowded theater and a rollicking good time. Instead, I found four other people in the theater who, like me, sat stonefaced as this monumentally unfunny movie plodded along until its conclusion. When the credits finally, mercifully began rolling, I looked around and discovered that I was the only person who had stuck the movie out to the bitter end.
It is apparent to any sentient viewer that Bill Murray finds himself extraordinarily clever, witty, and amusing. "The Life Aquatic" and, now, "Ghostbusters" prove conclusively that he should be virtually alone in that generous assessment of his comedic prowess. Line after line and stupid facial expression after stupid facial expression fell with huge, dull, thuds in the theater. Bill is particularly unamusing and unbelievable when trying crudely to seduce women on the silver screen.
Apparently, the producer thought that watching two fools (Bill and Dan) accompanied by a geek and a Bible-quoting African-American--all, for some reason, puffing away on cigarettes--stagger awkwardly through a lame story line could hold an audience's interest for over an hour and a half.
Critics' reviews hold a perverse fascination for me. They actually liked this piece of garbage. On the other hand, they regularly put down movies that most average Americans thoroughly enjoy. They are so out of touch with the audience for whom they write that their opinions are less valuable than the paper on which they're printed.

Wow!!! - Ghostbusters Reviews
REALLY ,ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!! I THINK THERE IS NEVER GONNA BE A BETTER MOVIE THAN THIS ONE !!!AMAZING !!!SO WHO YA GONNA CALL? GHOST BUSTERS !!!
Hillarious - Ghostbusters Reviews
This movie is quite possibly the funniest movie of all time. The visuals are bad, but that is on purpose. When they got to the marshmellow man, i almost died laughing. Overall, great movie.
Ghostbusters is a classic in its own right - Ghostbusters Reviews
Plenty of imagination and inspired film-making lead to creating Ghostbusters, which greatly influenced the concept of action/comedy movies. Ghostbusters was also one of the first movie that involved a ghosty paranormal atmosphere but that was light and funny all the way.
Very good soundtrack (nicely displayed through the movie)and visuals confirmed the success of the film.
Maybe only in the end does the movie flaws a little bit (in the way how Zul is defeated) but you are still left with a very good overall feeling about Ghostbusters once the song starts and the movie comes to an end with the cheering crowd.

One of the greatest movies ever! - Ghostbusters Reviews
This is one of the most original comedies ever. This movie is a milestone in movie history, one of the greats of the 80's. A typical feel good comedy of the 80's, no crap that hollywood has spewed out in the last 10 years could even hope to match this. Move over Darth Vader, Dr. Venkman is in town!
Always laugh - Ghostbusters Reviews
One of the funnyest movies evermade, Ghostbusters is as it sounds, about a bunch of guys who bust ghosts, its eather a great formula for a horror, or a comedy, and this one go's for comedy, which was probably the correct choice. The cast is perfect.
Who ya gonna call? ghostbusters!! - Ghostbusters Reviews
When there's something strange in the neighborhood, an invisible man sleeping in your bed, a fat green blob raiding your refrigerator, who gonna call? Ghostbusters!
The story centers around three paranormal psychologists at Columbia Univerisity, who are terminated by the Dean due to poor scientific efforts. Using their scientific research they figure out capture and containing a ghost, this prompts them into opening a ghost removal service calling themselves Ghostbusters. Their first customer is a musician (Played by Sigourney Weaver) who encountered a strange phenonmenon in her apartment. There is some interesting chemistry between her and Bill Murray. The ghost-busting business goes well making the scientists celebrities among the nation. They manage to recruit a fourth member to business; a blue-collar worker played by Ernie Hudson. It isn't long before the musician is attacked and possessed by an evil spirit who has big plans in raising hell on Earth. Its up to the Ghostbusters to stop this evil and save the world.
This is perhaps my most favorite beloved film that I have grown up with. The acting is well played by the cast, especially by Bill Murrary, Dan Aykryod, and Harold Ramis. I laughed at most of the great moments in this film; such as the ghost in the library scene, the Slimer chase scene, and the finale on top of the central apartment building. Best of all, the soundtrack is memorable including the unforgetable Ghostbusters theme by Ray Parker, Jr. This film is recommended for people of all ages, and will always be the milestone in comedy. This film is not only a high rent pick, but is a must own to anyone's video library. You will laugh and howl at this spooktacular comedy! Go Ghostbusters!

The best family horror of alltime! - Ghostbusters Reviews
This movie dukes the spooks as four average businessmen turn into spirit exterminaters and fight Goser the sumerian Demi-god. Rich in invention.
Great movie! - Ghostbusters Reviews
WOW this is one of the greatest movies ever! I love the story, acting, directing, it's just freakin awesome! I have tons of Ghostbuster collectables and I just can't get enough of the movie! Ghostbusters for life!
One of the best of all time..... - Ghostbusters Reviews
This movie is amzing. It is one of my definate favorites. It is really funny and has lots of action. The first is better than the second but just by smidge. Bill Murray is a great actor and he shows it here just like most of his movies. The visuals are great, even better than most now (they try too hard now a days). Sure the visuals ain't as great as the Matrix but great nonetheless.

Still a gut-buster - Ghostbusters Reviews
With this film celebrating its 20th year, I figured I'd revisit Docters Venkman, Stanz, and Spengler for the first time in many years. It is amazing that this film is still as funny as ever and when the jokes come at such a rapid-fire pace and are still just as funny today, it truly deserves the title of classic. Perhaps the best comedy film ever made.
Greatest movie of all time - Ghostbusters Reviews
it really is the greatest movie of all time for this generation i believe.it really is the greatest movie of all time for this generation i believe
Destined for greatness - Ghostbusters Reviews
Ghostbusters is a classic, without question. It is not only hilariously original, it is an incredible blend of some of the best comedic actors/writers in modern film. Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis... amazing talent = amazing movie.
Not to mention quotable. I can't tell you how many times I have said "Mother Pusbucket" or "Nobody steps on a church in my town!".

Ghostbusters best movie ever - Ghostbusters Reviews
ghostbusters is the greatest movie of all time. the proton packs, ecto 1, and the music made it cool. i still a ghostbusters fan after all these years. just call me, Dr. ralph powers. the other heart of the ghostbusters
This is the greatest movie ever made. - Ghostbusters Reviews
I've loved this movie ever since I was a kid. No matter how many times I watch it, it never gets old.
The movie itself was so innovative. It took a humorous look at the paranormal from a green glob representing John Belushi's ghost, to a 50 foot marshmallow man who terrorizes New York.
If you've never seen it, go out rent it, buy it, borrow it, do something just see it.
Ecto cooler - Ghostbusters Reviews
This is one of the coolest movies of all time for many a reason. I loved this movie as a child, but I love it even more today now that I know what they are talking about. This movie isn't for the faint of heart for it contains many ghouls of highly scary degrees. I know I was running for my blankie when Slimer showed himself as he ate all of the goodies on the hotel table. Really though those dogs used to scare the crude out of me, but now I no longer suffer from my fear of claymation and puppets. The story in endearing and I feel myself come closer to the characters as they struggle to overcome the villianous EPA. The acting is the best part though because everyone is just so damn funny. Props to all. Visuals were good for the time they were made because they were tops. Everything looked so realistic and tangible that I thought it was a true story on the news. Now I realize the errors of my ways and put away my proton packs. All and all it is one of the best movies ever.

I've been watching this movie since I was 5 years old and I loved it then. I recently just watched it again and there is so much more stuff i picked up on, I had no idea it was this funny! This movie has a very great smart sence of humor and its just a perfect film.
This movie is one of the best - Ghostbusters Reviews
The story is completely original. Bill and Dan add quite a bit of humor within the movie. It is a movie I highly recommend for all ages.
How can you not like ghostbusters? - Ghostbusters Reviews
Man what a classic, I just watched it again since a long time ago and what a great movie. The special effects for that movie was definitely ahead of it's time. You also have well known actors in it who portray so many different and interesting characters. Way to go boys.

Andy newton's ghostbusters review - Ghostbusters Reviews
The Ghostbusters is a classic comedy for all the family.
A comedy about a small group of scientists (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis) who become out of a job, then have idea to set-up a business in cathing ghosts!
The Characters in this movie worked great together, Peter Venkman(Murray) is a cocky, funny character who falls in love with a woman(Sigourney Weaver) who originally calls for the ghostbusters.
Rey Stantz (Aykroyd), a dopey like character, but truely is the heart of the ghostbusters.
And Egon Spenger(Ramis) the brains of the operations that is carried out.
Together they catch ghosts, and soon find out that Venkmas crush, and her next-door neighbor are in the central of spook central!
They get possest by the new ghost,,, so
"Who ya gonna call"??
Its a great comedy that adds science fiction to comedy, wich is more family comedy.
The story unfolds great, as we get across the character of each person, and always reminded of the potential of the movie.
Its a comedy that doesnt have to use curses to get rises, just uses playful cleaver humour that only such actors can do.
A Must SEE "ARGUABLY THE BEST COMEDY OF ALL TIME"

Still an 80's classic!! - Ghostbusters Reviews
Growing up, "Ghostbusters" was one of my favorite movies, and has grown even better with age, now that I'm older and understand all the jokes and realize it's more comedy than horror. Staring Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson as the quirky spirit catching businessmen, this is truly one of the most clever films that will ever be made. From the great story, to the subtle nuances of the casts' comedic performance, to the very cool Ecto-1(the car). Most of all is Murray's character, Peter Venkman, the groups "class clown". His sarcasm and wit steal the show as he falls in love with the first ghostbuster client, who turns into a dog, and then battles a 200 foot marshmallow man. I will never enjoy any movie the way I enjoy the classic, "Ghostbusters".
Best movie ever made - Ghostbusters Reviews
This is one of the best comedic movies ever made. Perfect cast with really good characters and a good story. The only thing it's missing is it should of been rated R because than maybe the ghosts could of been scary and more dangerous but in all it's an awesome movie.
Great movie - Ghostbusters Reviews
This movie is awsome. This movie is awsome. This movie is awsome. This movie is awsome. This movie is awsome. This movie is awsome.

The best movie ever! - Ghostbusters Reviews
I watched Ghostbusters last week for the first time, and It was an outstanding movie. For 1984, those have got to be the best visual effects I have ever seeen. The actors Rick Moranis and the crew, are great, funny, and bright. A good story and a good theme setting are keys in this movie. Ghostbusters is the best movie I've evers een in a long time.
My fave. 80's film!!! - Ghostbusters Reviews

Whoa whoa whoa great movie tex - Ghostbusters Reviews
Twenty years ago this summer a film called Ghostbusters was released and it was the greatest movie ever made. Twenty years later it is still the greatest movie ever made. Written by Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis the story tells of 3 out of workd college proffesers( played by Bill Murray Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis) who start their own ghost catching business later they are joined by a a 4th memeber (Ernie Hudson). The four busters eventually face an evil demi-god above a sky scraper and battle a 40ft marshmellow man. I could go on about how funny the movie is, how original the concept is, or how great the actiing is but from my score you can probally tell all that. This movie has something to offer everyone; comedy, a few scares, a love story, great special effects, and a great soundtrack. Also do not dismiss the sequal it is not as good as the first one but if you enjoy ghostbusters 1 then ghostbusters 2 will sur eplease. Ghostbusters is a fantasitc movie beyond words and twenty years from now is will still be a fantastic movie beyond words. Be ready to believe me!
Who you gonna call? ghostbusters!!!! - Ghostbusters Reviews
Ghostbusters IS, and always will be the best comedy movie of the century. Bill Murray and the other ghostbuster gangs were so good in this movie. Even Sigourney Weaver ( the woman who acted Ripley in all 4 Alien movies ) and that other guy ( from Honey I Shrunk the Kids ) were good at acting too. WOW!!! I can't believe how good their special effects were in the early 80's. The way how they made the ghost and the lazer beams and the giant marshmallow monster were so cool. This movie was SO funny. This has got to be the funniest movie in the 1980's. I think that the sequel to Ghostbusters might be good too. I haven't seen it yet, but let's just hope that Ghostbusters 2 won't be a bad sequel. BIll Murray is one of the best actors yet. The funniest movie yet.
So, who you gonna call?
GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
NOTE ABOUT BILL MURRAY'S NEXT MOVIE THIS SUMMER 2004:
Bill Murray's next big movie I should say is "GARFIELD". He will do the voice of everyone's favorite fat cat, Garfield. Let's just hope that his big, fat movie will be good.
