Ghostbusters - Ghostbusters Reviews

This movie is very funny... and even creative in some ways. I think this is far better than the sequel Ghostbusters II whiched sucked balls by the way. I hope all people like this film cause it is very good. ***1/2 stars

Who else ya gonna call?? - Ghostbusters Reviews

this is an excellent comedy that has made me laugh every single time i see it. it has a good idea (four guys who go around ridding buildings of ghosts for a living) and mixes it with good acting and some surprises and hilarious moments - the marshmallow man is superb. i think the only thing wrong with it is that its over quite soon, but that doesnt really matter because you'll still have a great laugh watching this movie.

Love this movie - Ghostbusters Reviews

A great ghostly comedy!! - Ghostbusters Reviews

Ghostbuster's is truly a classic among comedies. Bill Murray delivers an excellent performance as a cocky comedic kinda guy. The whole acting in this movie wasen't all that great, but Murray top everybody else. The visuals in this movie are great for an older movie. Ghostbuster is truly one great movie.

It is not that great - Ghostbusters Reviews

yep....it is not really a great movie. it is a good way to time pass. it is flaw movie but it is okay to watch for just once

The best film of the century - Ghostbusters Reviews

Combining the comedy giants of the early 80's, an intuitive script and the solid effects and directing makes for a pop culture masterpiece. Taking the original idea of ghost hunting and then combining it weith contemporary setting and adding unique characters it created an atmosophere unto its own. Perhaps the greatest element of this film is its influence afterwards. "Who ya gonna call?" Honestly if you don't know where that's from then get a life. It has spawned three TV shows, two comic series, a sequel and continues to have a strong impact on movie-making today. The acting was brilliant and characters were so wonderfully portrayed theat I cannot help but think of the hilarious Dr. Peter Venkman everytime I see Bill Murray. If you haven't seen it go rent it!

Flawed, but worthy - Ghostbusters Reviews

At first, I thought Ghostbusters was great. The theme song rocked, the Ghostbusters logo was sweet. But that was before I saw the movie. I thought that the movie was really, really wierd. I mean, whats up with that Dana and Louis guy turning into dogs? I also saw Ghostbusters 2 and I thought that it was better (less weird) than the first. Two guys that were laugh-outloud hilarious were Bill Murray and Rick Moranis. The acting was good, the story-okay, but it was near the end was pretty weird. I mean, c'mon, whats with this PEOPLE turning into ghosts, thing? W-E-I-R-D. If you can read, you know what I'm talking about. Hey, whose your daddy?

I think it could be a little better.. - Ghostbusters Reviews

Overall I thought this movie was good, but I got lost in a few parts of the movie. If this was average then I wonder how the 2nd one was.. So I think it was good and bad in many ways.

Great - Ghostbusters Reviews

Bill Murray is my favorite actor and after seeing this movie I laughed my ass off, I knew from the beggining it was going to be awsome. His girlfriend being possesed that was really funny.

Are the critics crazy? - Ghostbusters Reviews

I expected a crowded theater and a rollicking good time. Instead, I found four other people in the theater who, like me, sat stonefaced as this monumentally unfunny movie plodded along until its conclusion. When the credits finally, mercifully began rolling, I looked around and discovered that I was the only person who had stuck the movie out to the bitter end. It is apparent to any sentient viewer that Bill Murray finds himself extraordinarily clever, witty, and amusing. "The Life Aquatic" and, now, "Ghostbusters" prove conclusively that he should be virtually alone in that generous assessment of his comedic prowess. Line after line and stupid facial expression after stupid facial expression fell with huge, dull, thuds in the theater. Bill is particularly unamusing and unbelievable when trying crudely to seduce women on the silver screen. Apparently, the producer thought that watching two fools (Bill and Dan) accompanied by a geek and a Bible-quoting African-American--all, for some reason, puffing away on cigarettes--stagger awkwardly through a lame story line could hold an audience's interest for over an hour and a half. Critics' reviews hold a perverse fascination for me. They actually liked this piece of garbage. On the other hand, they regularly put down movies that most average Americans thoroughly enjoy. They are so out of touch with the audience for whom they write that their opinions are less valuable than the paper on which they're printed.
